The registration period for the winter semester 2024/25 expired on June 15, 2024.
The registration period for GS/MS for the summer semester 2025 is from October 1 to December 15, 2024. For the teaching degree program for Gymnasium, the registration deadline for both the winter and summer semester is April 15.
Registration is only possible during this period.

The general information applies to all internships and all types of schools.

What requirements do I have to fulfill?

Before the start of the internship, the basic module in political didactics, consisting of the introductory lecture and the methods seminar, must have been successfully completed.
In addition, the pedagogical-didactic block internship must have been completed.

What internships are offered?

Teacher training students with social studies (GS/MS/GYM) as their teaching subject can complete the (subject-related) internship that accompanies their studies.
Teacher training students with social studies (GS/MS) as their teaching subject can complete the additional internship that accompanies their studies.

How do I register?

Registration varies depending on the type of school:
?

• Students training to be teachers at the Gymnasium level register online via the central internship office (see below for more detailed information).
• Students training to be teachers at the elementary/middle school level register directly with the professorship via digicampus (see below for more detailed information).

Registration by email is not possible!

Will I receive feedback as to whether the registration was successful?

You will automatically be registered for the accompanying seminar for the internship in digicampus after the registration phase has ended. This process usually takes place a few weeks before the start of the semester.?
We kindly ask you to refrain from contacting either the lecturers or the chair. If you are not accepted for the internship, we will contact you personally.?

Cancellation of the internship

Due to the high organizational effort and the limited number of places, we ask you to only register if you are seriously planning to participate. If, however, you should change your plans at short notice, please contact the respective lecturer.
If you have been assigned an internship but do not complete the internship and block the internship placement without notifying the respective lecturer, you will be treated as a lower priority when you re-register.

Teaching profession: primary school/secondary school

Registrations are made via the course registration in Digicampus.

Please note the following registration deadlines for registering for internships:
Internships in the winter semester: 01.04 up to and including 15.06.
Internships in the summer semester: 01.10. up to and including 15.12.

Important information when searching on Digicampus:?Registration for the internship is always done in the semester prior to the start of the internship. Please keep this in mind when searching for the event on Digicampus. You can find the courses under the titles “Registration for Social Studies Internship at the Secondary School” and “Registration for Social Studies Internship at the Elementary School”.

Register by the registration deadline and taking into account your degree program (primary or secondary school teaching). If you are successfully assigned, you will automatically be entered for a seminar to accompany the internship in the corresponding semester.
